Occupational Therapy can help you regain the skills of everyday living after an illness or injury, such as a hand injury, stroke, head injury, arthritis, fractures, cumulative trauma disorders, cardiac disease and cancer.
Our staff is made up of caring professionals, licensed and registered in the state of New York. A certified hand therapist is on staff for outpatient consultations.

When you first come to the Occupational Therapy Department, a comprehensive evaluation is conducted to design a treatment plan just for you. The treatment sessions are then 30-60 minutes depending on the type of diagnosis and the treatment plan set up by the therapist.
The Occupational Hand Therapy Program works closely with the referring physician to rehabilitate patients who have sustained injury or problems with the upper extremity. The program also teaches preventive care such as ergonomics and joint protection All therapists are licensed in New York and a therapist has achieved additional certification in hand therapy through the hand therapy certification commission.
A referral by a physician is necessary. Early Intervention Services are referred from the Department of Health. Most insurance is accepted. Please check with your carrier .
