Bon Secours Community Hospital Announces Seven New Appointments to Its Medical Staff
Port Jervis, NY (June 10, 2010 ) – Seven highly qualified physicians have recently been appointed to the active medical staff at Bon Secours Community Hospital, a member of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, in Port Jervis, NY.
Andrea A. Berger, MD, has been granted privileges in Cardiology.
Dr. Berger is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Berger majored in Biochemistry and graduated Cum Laude from Smith College in Massachusetts. She earned her Medical Degree in 1998 at New York’s University of Rochester School Of Medicine and Dentistry.
Steven Dale Boggs, MD, has been granted privileges in Anesthesiology.
Dr. Boggs is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He graduated Summa cum Laude with a major in Biology from Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. Dr. Boggs earned his Medical Degree in 1983 at the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago.
Hugh P. Forbes, MD, has been granted privileges in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Forbes, who recently served as Director of OB/GYN at Carthage Area Hospital in New York, is Board Certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey and, in 1990, his Doctor of Medicine Degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey.
Israr Khankhel, MD has been granted privileges in Internal Medicine and will be serving as a Hospitalist responsible for the medical care of hospitalized patients.
Dr. Khankhel, who is currently an Attending Hospitalist at St. Anthony Community Hospital, a member of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, in Warwick, NY, specializes in Family Medicine. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Craiova in Romania in 1985. Dr. Khankhel served his Residency in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology at the Federal Government Services Hospital in Islamabad, Pakistan and his Residency in Family Medicine at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Teresa Ning, MD, has been granted privileges in Anesthesiology.
Dr. Ning is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. She studied at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and earned her Degree as a Doctor of Medicine with Distinction from Albany Medical College, Union University, New York in 1988. Dr. Ning is a life time member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Abhishek Shrivastava, MD, has been granted privileges in Radiology.
Dr. Shrivastava is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and a member of the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree at the College of New Jersey and his Doctor of Medicine Degree at New Jersey Medical School-UMDNJ in Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Shrivastava served his Residency in Traditional Medicine and his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Andrea F. Sorokin, MD, has been granted privileges in Anesthesiology.
Dr. Sorokin is currently serving in the Department of Anesthesiology at Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, in Suffern, New York. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, graduating Cum Laude, from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Dr. Sorokin earned honors and received her Medical Degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She served her Residency in Anesthesiology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City’s Borough of the Bronx.
