LOCAL SURGEON, LAWRENCE GORDON, MD, INITIATED INTO AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SURGEONS
WARWICK, NY - Lawrence Gordon, MD, Medical Director of the New York Center for Advanced Parathyroid Surgery at St. Anthony Community Hospital, a member of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, was among 1,467 Initiates from around the world who recently became Fellows of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). The presentation was made during convocation ceremonies at the College's 96th annual Clinical Congress in Washington, DC. By meeting the College’s stringent membership requirements, Fellows of the College have earned the distinguished right to use the designation of “FACS” (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after their names.
Dr. Gordon, whose practice is located in Goshen, NY, earned his medical degree at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1989. He attained board certification in 1994 from the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Gordon has a strong professional interest in Parathyroid and Thyroid Surgery and he is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
