St. Anthony Community Hospital’s first baby of 2011 arrives January 1 in the hospital’s Kennedy Birthing Center

WARWICK, NY – He came into the world at 7:20 p.m. on January 1 thus earning the honor of being the first baby born at St. Anthony Community Hospital in 2011.

Oliver John Mabee, born to Warwick residents Heather De Vries, and Shawn Mabee weighed five pounds and six ounces.

Obstetrician during the delivery was Dr. Sally M. Levine of Community OB/GYN in Warwick, NY assisted by Nurse Eileen Delaney, RN.

The National award winning Kennedy Birthing Center is a state-of-the-art maternity unit, providing many innovative options and amenities. Approximately 600 babies are born each year at the facility, which combines modern technology with a comfortable, family oriented atmosphere. With beautifully decorated, single birthing suites, the Kennedy Birthing Center was built to cater to family needs, providing homelike surroundings for a more natural labor, delivery and recovery, all in one location, during a complication-free birth process. The Center also provides a C-Section Suite, a large, cheerful nursery and several gynecological rooms.
