The Bon Secours Sleep Disorder Institute is located at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY.  The Institute has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) since May 2004.

The AASM is committed to ensuring that those in the field of sleep medicine provide excellent healthcare and enhance the awareness of sleep as an important element for help and public safety. By successfully completing the accreditation process The Bon Secours Sleep Disorder Institute has proven their dedication to upholding the standards of excellence and commitment to advancement of sleep medicine.


Our mission is to provide the highest quality sleep diagnostic services and to provide appropriate treatment to improve quality of life. We aim to make our patient’s experience pleasant and to provide compassionate care in a safe and comfortable environment.

Our board certified sleep physicians are qualified to evaluate and provide treatment for a wide variety of sleep disorders including:

  • Obstructive sleep apnea
  • Central sleep apnea
  • Insomnia
  • Restless leg and periodic limb movement disorder
  • Parasomnias
  • Narcolepsy

The sleep services provided in our facility include:

  • Nocturnal Polysomnography, Adult and Pediatric (ages 5 and older)
  • Polysomnography with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure
  • Polysomnography with Adaptive Servo Ventilation
  • Multiple Sleep Latency testing
  • Maintenance of Wakefulness testing for employment and motor vehicle certification

Good Samaritan Hospital's Sleep Disorder Institute offers the latest technology in sleep issue diagnosis, The Alice 6 LDE.  The Alice 6 LDE system provides our technicians and doctors the most advanced set of channels needed to meet AASM standards, while also allowing staff to focus more on patients and less on equipment.

  • Patent-pending chin EMG technology for advanced monitoring
    • Monitor all three chin EMG inputs and select the best pair in real-time using our patent-pending chin EMG technology.
  • Continuous impedance check
    • Electrode impedance is continuously monitored and displayed for EEG, EMG and ECG during the sleep study to give the clinician real-time feedback on the quality of electrode-skin contact.
  • Advanced+ and digital integration
    • The direct connection of the Omnilab Advance+ allows for digital integration with Alice 6, eliminating the need for channel calibrations and multiple cable connections.  This allows technicians and doctors to see what is actually going on with a patient and not be distracted or mislead by other calibrations leading to more accurate outcomes
