Perinatal Bereavement Program - Walk to Remember

Sunday, October 6, 2019
12:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Walk to Remember

Please join us as we walk in memory of your babies. Participants and community members are encouraged to arrive at the main entrance to Good Samaritan Hospital. The ceremony will include crafts for siblings, music, poetry and name readings, the planting of a memorial tree, and reflections shared by members of the Perinatal Bereavement Program. There will also be Walk to Remember T-shirts available for purchase. The event will conclude with the Walk to Remember, in which all able-bodied participants will walk around the perimeter of the hospital grounds, taking steps in honor of their babies. The walk will be followed by light refreshments where we hope families will stay after the ceremony and connect with each other. The ceremony is rain or shine, but more information can be found by calling the Perinatal Bereavement office at 845.368.5297.

For people who are unable to attend but would like to support the important work of the Perinatal Bereavement Program, donations can be sent to Good Samaritan Hospital, 255 Lafayette Ave, Suffern NY, 10901 with “Perinatal Bereavement Program” written in the memo.
